Zz1 Process & Mood Canvas

Philmore has an unusual design process involving print layer treatments on fabric, devising imagery with paint , collaging and gathering inspo from objects and surroundings from architecture to wallpaper !!

In recent years he has been adding parts of the process onto canvases while working on the clothes in the studio , using the screen prints for the fabrics also onto canvases and over the illustrations and imagery which are pasted onto the canvas and overprinted again and again with painted notes and drags .The most mixed of mixed media.

These were originally done to adorn the walls in the London store and provide a backdrop to the mannequins wearing the clothes.

Where it got complicated is that people started wanting to buy these paintings and it seemed crazy not to sell them. It  got further complicated when gallery curators around Notting hill started exhibiting and selling them in the Galleries and even commissioning large scale pieces for specific exhibitions.

Now some of the smaller canvases are being made available to buy here on the website.

This piece measures 8 inches ( 21cms ) by 9 inches ( 23cms ) and 1.5 inches ( 4cms ) deep
